The foundations of memory

Memory decompounds of three remembering stages: encoding, the initial process of recording information, storage, information saved for future use and retrieval, recovery of stored information. According to the three-system approuch to memory, there are several different memory storage systems, through which information must travel in order to be rememberd. The first one is sensory memory, which storage information that last only an instant. The second is short-term memory, which holds indormation for fifteen to twenty-five seconds. And the third is long-term memory, which stored information to infinite term of time.
