Enhancing memory

According to the scientists, drugs can help us to improve memory and our mental functioning. They not only enhance our memory capabilities, but even more, they suppress unwanted ones. There are several types of memory-enhancing drugs, which help us to improve our memory. For example, there is certain drug known as cholinesterase inhibitor, which can increase the ability of neurons to communicate with one other. Also such drug as donepezil helps patients with Alzheimer‘s disease. One more drug is CREB- it can be used to prevent recurring, intrusive, unpleasant memories following a traumatic event.
To sum up, despite the fact that scientists are very optimistic about developing the drugs wich will help our memory to work better, the obscurity of using such drugs is quite huge and scientists must be very careful with it.
